Wheel service options

Many 'factory wheels' are not finished well and are actually under tensioned when sold. This can lead to wheels getting easily buckled when riding, regularly breaking spokes, rims cracking, imprecise steering from front wheel and loss of drive efficiency from rear wheel. Rule 4 Cycles can offer a number of packages to repair, re-true, re-tension and rebuild your wheels, along with a complete custom wheel build option.
PLEASE NOTE: Spokes can only be re-tensioned/ Wheels trued where the spoke nipples have not siezed and a collection and return cost will be charged for wheels not dropped in to the workshop.

Re-true buckled wheel	Wheel removed from bike and fitted to truing jig, trued to within +/- 1mm, then refitted to bike. (Wheel is also checked for 'dish' although this is not rectified in this package.)	Normally takes 45 mins £15 - £20
Replace broken spoke(s)	Wheel removed from bike, tyre and tube removed and new spoke fitted. The wheel is then fitted to truing jig, trued to within +/- 1mm, then refitted to bike. (Wheel is also checked for 'dish' although this is not rectified in this package.)	Normally takes 45 mins - 1 1/2 hour £15 - £30 + parts
Re-tension wheel	Wheel removed from bike, tyre and tube removed. The wheel is then fitted to truing jig and a selection of spokes from each side of the wheel are checked for appropriate tension, where possible if the nipples are not siezed ALL spokes are then adjusted to bring them up to tension and the wheel trued to within +/- 1mm, then refitted to bike. (Wheel is also checked for 'dish' although this is not rectified in this package.)	Normally takes 1 1/2 hour £30
Re-dish and re-tension wheel	Wheel removed from bike, tyre and tube removed. If nipples are not siezed All spokes are loosened, and the wheel re-built in dish and up to an appropriate tension. (+/- 0.5mm)	Normally takes 1.5 - 2 hours £30 - £50
Re-spoke wheel / Re-rim hub	All spokes removed from wheel (cut out) and wheel rebuilt in dish using new rim / hub / spokes to an appropriate tension.(+/- 0.5mm)	Normally takes 2 - 3 hours £40 - £50 + parts
