Bike Build Options

Many people are now buying bikes by Mail order, from internet websites, from Ebay or from non-specialist shops and find themselves unhappy to build the bike up safely for themselves. Others want to have a totally bespoke bike built up from a new frame and separately sourced parts. For these people we offer a range of bike assembly and building services the prices quoted are for general 'builds'and may vary depending on the time to actually complete the job and do not include a collection and return costs.

'Bike in a box' (Mail order / Internet sourced)	Loose parts assembled to frame - Stem, handlebars, pedals, cranks, rear derailleur, wheels. Brakes checked for alignment and safe working. (Pad alignment & Cable adjustment) Gears adjusted for clean shifting. Headset checked and adjusted for smooth steering.	Normally takes 2 - 3 hours £40 - £60
'Bike build' New frame + parts	Frame prepared for initial build - Bottom bracket chased and faced, head tube faced and reamed, headset installed, bottom bracket installed, gear hanger checked for alignment Loose parts assembled to frame - Stem, handlebars, brake levers, gear shifters, brake callipers, pedals, cranks, front & rear derailleur, wheels. Brakes checked for alignment and safe working. (Pad alignment & Cable adjustment) Gears adjusted for clean shifting. Headset checked and adjusted for smooth steering.	Normally takes 3 - 6 hours £70 - £100
'Bike build' Donor bike + new frame	Old bike stripped of parts, parts cleaned and serviced as appropriate. New frame prepared for initial build - Bottom bracket chased and faced, head tube faced and reamed, headset installed, bottom bracket installed, gear hanger checked for alignment Loose parts assembled to frame - Stem, handlebars, brake levers, gear shifters, brake callipers, pedals, cranks, front & rear derailleur, wheels.
