Please note: EXCEPT for the "Main" service option (which includes cable replacement), all prices are for labour, degreasers, and lubricants only. Any additional parts that need to be replaced as part of a "Main" service will incur an additional purchase cost (but not labour) - although if you know an item will need replacing you are welcome to source them yourself; for "Basic" services any parts that need replacing will incur both a cost for the part and an additional labour fee.

Service type BASIC :

(6 monthly depending on use).

MAIN :

(Annually).
Brief overview "Inspect and adjust." service.

Work is carried out without dismantling the bike.

If parts are found to be worn they are replaced with additional labour costs.

Normally takes
about 1 1/2 hour.

£40 if bike dropped off

or

£50 with collect and return within local area.
"Remove, inspect, adjust and lubricate." service.

The bike is dismantled as far as possible e.g. wheels, cranks, forks etc. removed, cleaned,inspected and lubricated as appropriate.

If parts are found to be worn these are replaced at cost of item with no additional labour cost.

Normally takes 4 hours.

£90 if bike dropped off
or
£100 with collect and return within local area.

This service also includes cost of brake and gear cable replacement where possible / appropriate, and brake bleeding for hydraulic brake systems.

NOTE: Internally routed cables will inccur an additional fee depending on complexity.

Front Wheel 1. Tyre inspected for wear.

2. Wheel checked for trueness with mild truing as necessary (where nipples are accessible and not siezed).

3. Rim checked for excessive wear and wiped clean with alcohol.

4. Wheel spun to check for bearing wear.
1.Wheel removed from frame and tyre inspected for wear.

2. Wheel checked for trueness in wheel jig, with mild truing as necessary (where nipples are accessible and not siezed).

3. Rim checked for excessive wear and wiped clean with alcohol.

4. Bearings re-greased where possible and bearing wear adjustments made where appropriate. If needed cartridge bearings replaced at cost of bearings.

Front Brake 1. Brake pads inspected for wear.

2. Pad alignment with rim checked and adjusted.

3. Brake cable checked for fraying, and adjusted as appropriate.
1. Brake pads inspected for wear, and replaced where necessary. – cost of pads not included in price.

2. Pad alignment with rim checked and adjusted.

3. Inner brake cable replaced (and outer housing where it does not run under bar-tape).

4. Calliper centring checked and adjusted.

For DISC brake bikes.

1. Brake pads inspected for wear and replaced where necessary - cost of pads not included in price. Pads de-glazed and cleaned if needed.

2. Discs checked for trueness with mild straightening where possible/needed. Discs wiped clean with Brake cleaner.

3. Disc/Calliper alignment checked and adjusted where necessary.

4. "Top bleed" using Mineral/DOT oil as appropriate.

Front Forks 1. Forks inspected for damage.

2. Headset adjusted for steering wear.
1. Forks inspected for damage.

2. Headset bearings removed and re-greased where possible, replaced and adjusted for wear/preload.

Main Frame Frame inspected for damage Frame cleaned and inspected for damage.

Pedals and Bottom bracket 1. Pedal axles checked for play.

2. Bottom bracket checked for wear / play.
1. Pedal axles checked for play, and removed and lubricated if possible.

2. Cranks removed and bottom bracket spun checked for wear / play.

3. Bottom bracket bearings checked for wear and replaced at cost of part if found to be worn.

Chain 1. Chain wiped clean and checked for wear.

2. Chain drip lubricated on bike.
1. Chain removed from bike where possible and cleaned in ultrasonic bath, else cleaned on bike using Chain bath and checked for wear.

2. Chain drip lubricated in frame.

Gears 1. Front and rear derailleur cables checked for fraying.

2. Front derailleur checked for non-alignment and adjusted as necessary.

3. Rear derailleur checked for operation and adjusted as necessary.

4. Chain-rings and sprockets visually inspected for wear.
1. Front and rear derailleur inner cables replaced (outer also replaced where it does not run under bar-tape).

2. Front derailleur removed from frame, cleaned, lubricated, and replaced checking for for correct height and alignment.

3. Rear derailleur removed from frame, cleaned, lubricated and replaced, checking limit screws and adjusting as necessary.

4. Rear derailleur hanger checked for non-alignment and adjusted where possible.

5. Chain-rings and sprockets cleaned and visually inspected for wear.

Rear Wheel Same service as front wheel Same service as front wheel.

Where possible Freehub body removed and bearings spun to check for smoothness.

Rear Brake Same service as front brake Same service as front brake.

Head Tube facing and reaming (NOT IS standard) to bare frame: £40

Gear hanger check + alignment : £15 or free if part of Main service.

Drop out alignment check : £15.

Disc mount facing : £40

Sealed bearing replacement Price dependant on complexity. Please feel free to discuss. - Often cost of bearings + £25 per hour. 'Simple' wheel bearings can often be done as part of a Main service with no extra time needed.
