Service Options

Much of an E-Bike works in the same way as a 'Normal' bicycle and so servicing of the MECHANICAL aspects of an E-bike can be offered. Due to the differing styles of E-Bike (Hub motor / Mid motor) the actual items covered by a service will vary from bike to bike and so it is not possible to offer a "one-price" option. Similar items and costs to our normal service options can be used as a baseline but depending on what is actually done the price may be different.

eBike firmware updates are often issued by manufactures to provide the most up to date and 'bug free' experience of thier systems, and it is recommended that these are checked on an annual basis. Where faults arise a diagnosis report can also identify the specific parts that are at fault and allow a more cost effecient repair to be implemented. At the moment only Shimano (Di2/Steps) and Bosch (non-HMI systems) are currently covered, although we are trying to expand to cover other systems.
The cost of a diagnosis report/firmware update is £40 or £30 if offered as part of a service.

Please note, faulty parts can only be replaced with new (if available) and will be charged at cost of part + Labour. No repairs to parts are offered at the moment.

With the size and weight of many eBikes, and with the need to connect to special diagnostic hardware for diagnosis reports/firmware updates, a 'collection and return' is not offered and bikes must be brought to the workshop.
